An Activity Monitor being worn on the wrist of a person carrying out an activity. Participants in the long term health-study of up to 500,000 people, being conducted by UK Biobank, are now receiving watch sized Activity Monitors. The monitors should be worn continuously for a peroid of 7 days before being returned for analysis. The rolling programme will see Activity Monitors being offered to participants in the project over approximately the next two years. (66)
