Glasgow, Scotland, UK. 12th November, 2017. A two-minute silence to mark Remembrance Sunday has been observed at 11:00 at the Cenotaph in George Square, Glasgow. In her role as Lord Lieutenant, Lord Provost Eva Bolander led the ceremony, with the Moderator of the Church of Scotland Glasgow Presbytery, Rev. Ian Galloway, leading prayers. Also in attendance amongst serving military, veterans, and the public, was Deputy First Minister John Swinney, representatives of the British Armed Forces, and of Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
