Air Force members from the 173rd Fighter Wing and 550th Fighter Squadron stand at attention as the Detachment 2 flag is rolled up and covered during an activation ceremony, July 21, 2017, at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The active duty Air Force detachment based out of the Kingsley Field, previously Detachment 2, is now officially designated as the 550th Fighter Squadron. 550th Fighter Squadron members will continue to fall under the command of the 56th Operations Group at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.
