Protester Removal Team ( Police ) in the process of removing a 'lock-on' device from two anti-fracking protesters blocking the access road to the iGas drilling rig on Barton Moss. Whilst the protesters, or 'protectors' as they call themselves, normally 'slow walk' in front of the deliveries, 'lock-on' protests are carried out in response to the violence dealt to them by the Greater Manchester Police Tactical Aid Unit whose actions have resulted in several protectors being taken to hospital. The lock-on device consists of several steel tubes inside each other in which the protesters lock their hand together inside which means the police have to carefully cut through several steel pipes on both sides to release the protesters - briefly - before arresting them!
