The club, however, felt that it should have a hall of its own, so the Koyal Arcanum hall has been secured and the next meeting of the club will be held there. One of the principal discussions of the last meeting was the high prices which are being obtained for bedding plants this spring. Most of the members re- ported no trouble in getting what they ask for their stock. One man said he had no trouble in getting $3 per dozen for geraniums which at one time sold for $1 per dozen. On Mother's day carna- tions sold for as much as $3 per dozen for cut stock. Some of the more con- servative members took issue with their high prices, and freely quoted an article which had appeared in a recent issue of The Review, and which said that sup- ply and demand regulated prices, but there was danger of such a thing as killing the demand if prices kept soar- ing. Should this be the case the many years spent in educating the public in the use of flowers for all occasions would be lost and the work would have to be done all over. The club's idea was that it is up to the grower to produce his stock and sell it as reasonablv as would Flowers The Best at the Lowest. Member F. T. D.
