MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) is a base of the United States Air Force in Hillsborough County, Florida, 8 miles south of Downtown Tampa at the tip of the Interbay Peninsula. An airshow is an event at which aviators display their flying skills and the capabilities of their flying machines to the crowd. Airshows without aerobatic displays, with only aircraft displayed parked on the ground, are called static airshows.
