Pointe-des-Monts lighthouse along the Saint Lawrence

The Pointe-des-Monts lighthouse, erected in 1830, was designated an historic monument in 1965. Subsequently, a large exhibition was built within the lighthouse, and the site is becoming an important attraction in Québec's maritime heritage. The exhibition's mannequins and artifacts are spread over the lighthouse's seven floors and illustrate the life of the Native peoples and pioneers who lived here, from prehistory to 1964.
