Several other publica-tions in script form had been published before the appearanceof The Picket. The Great Unknown and the Parthenianwere established in 1887 and were read to the societies at theregular meetings by the editors. The Picket was first published on January 30, 1896 andcontained only four pages. It was practically a Facultypaper composed by the following staff
