A male keeled skimmer dragonfly, Orthetrum coerulescens, near a stagnant pool in an otherwise dried-up stream in the New Forest during the UK heatwave of 2018. It and other keeled skimmers had gathered by the pool to mate. The keeled skimmer favours peaty areas and the male is blue with the female a brown/yellow colour when immature and gets darker with age. New Forest Hampshire England UK GB
