Tarbosaurus dinosaur. Computer artwork of an Tarbosaurus, a large bipedal predator belonging to the same family as Tyrannosaurus Rex (Tyrannosauridae). Of all the tyrannosaurids, the Tarbosauryus has the smallest two-fingered forelimbs in relation to body size. It also weighed more than a ton and its mouth was equipped with dozens of large, sharp teeth and a unique locking mechanism in its lower jaw. It lived in Asia at the end of the Late Cretaceous Period (70-65 million years ago).
