Each queen-cell is held in position by the wire-cloth sides of the cage and the celluloid cover c (Fig. 94) slipped over it. The frame containing the twelve cages is placed between combs of brood in a strong colony and may remain there until the queens are wanted for insertion in nuclei K 2.
