Berlin Rüdesheimer Platz. Historic toilet - Café Achteck built from remains of former urinal at Goslarer Platz, Octotagonal cast iron toilets with roof ventilation. Café Achteck is a humorous term for certain public urinals in which seven green painted cast iron wall segments forming an octagonal floor plan. The eighth wall is missing and forms the entrance which has a privacy screen consisting of at least 3 segments screen. The design was proposed by Councillor Carl Theodor Rospatt in 1878 and toilets were for men only. Some of the original structures have been rebuilt to provide separate toilets have been set for both sexes.
