It is fastened, by band-ages passing through its lower rim, to anyoperating-table, making it perfectly steady andallowing it to follow the big table in Trendel-enburg or any other desired position. Slots and holes are cut in its upper surface,so that the hands and thighs may be securelyfastened. These also allow the heat from he-low to come up under the covers to maintainan even temperature. The height of the table raises the surfaceof the abdomen about as high as the adultswould be. Special little blankets are used to wrap thechest
