ALMOST nothing is known ofthe life history of the northern formof the Flammulated Screech Owl. Thetype form, a male, was taken atKetchum, Alturus County. Idaho, Sep-tember 22, 1890; and there are recordsfor Eastern Washington in possessionof the Biological Survey. Several years ago Mr. F. S. Merrillcaptured a small Owl near Spokane,and obtained its photograph, submit-ted herewith, in the belief that it isof this race.
