As many statements have from time to time been madepublic, purporting to be correct copies of the will of JamesFisk, Jr., which were, all of them, incorrect, that it is grati-fying to be able at length to give a true copy of the will asadmitted to probate by Surrogate Hutchings. James Fisk, father of the decedent, named as legatee inthe will with the widow, joined in the petition for the ad-mission of the will to probate, thereby waiving all objectionto its provisions. Mr. Jordan, too, named as co-executorwith the widow, retired from such office, thereby constitutingMrs. Fisk sole executor of the will. All necessary conditions and preliminaries being compliedwith, the Surrogate felt justified in admitting the will toprobate, granting letters testamentary to Mrs. Fisk. The estate was sworn to as not exceeding one million THE (iRAVE OF COL. JAMES FISK, Jr. JAMES FISK, JR. 471 THE WILL.
