, Panmunjom, Korea, Asia - Looking from the South Korean side at the Bridge of No Return within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) near the former border village of Panmunjom which is situated in the Joint Security Area (JSA) inside the 4 km narrow border strip along the 38th parallel that divides North Korea from South Korea. The bridge was used for prisoner exchanges at the end of the Korean War in 1953. Still, after more than 60 years after the end of the Korean War no official peace agreement has been signed and the tensions between the two Korean states remain very high until this day.
