Air Force 1st Lt. Emily Chilson, Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team public affairs officer, interviews Abdullah Jan, a 14-year-old Afghan boy, after a Paktika youth shura held April 4. Chilson interviewed the Jan to understand why he attended the Paktika Youth Shura. The provincial government, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, held a youth shura for more than 300 of Paktika's youth, ages 12-25. The PRT works with the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan at the provincial level in order to support reconstruction and governance initiatives.
