Slipper limpets are edible and can also make good bait for sea fishing. they are an invasive species/non-native species in the UK and known as sequential hermaphrodites as they can change sex from male to female as they get older. Slipper limpets are known by several other names including common atlantic slipper snail and atlantic slipper limpet
