Sedum living roof. A living roof insulates the building, reduces rainwater run-off and improves appearance and biodiversity. Sedum plants are used because they are drought tolerant, shallow rooting and require little maintenance. Light tubes are also seen on the roof. Photographed at Boscombe Library, Bournemouth, UK, in April.
