Manchester Weekend 19th, 20th & 21st April, 2013. Tourists on the Manchester Starflyer a the St George's weekend celebrations, a family event held in Albert Square and Piccadilly, an extension of the annual St George Parade and a venture to help celebrate England's Patron Saint, with many activities and performers. Manchester embraces the days when both national festivals and parades aim to bring the city together and provide Mancunians with an event where different national identities are celebrated.

The 230ft-high Starflyer in Piccadilly Gardens spins people on swings at around 20mph for a unique perspective of the city. Piccadilly Gardens is a green space in Manchester city centre, England, situated at one end of Market Street (a busy shopping area) and on the edge of the Northern Quarter. Piccadilly runs eastwards from the end of Market Street/junction with Mosley Street, to a point where London Road begins at the junction with Ducie Street: to the south of this are the gardens and paved areas. The area was reconfigured in 2002 with a new water feature and concrete pavilion by noted Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
