The GDR Restricted Area was the area around the former Hohenschönhausen prison in East Berlin. During the reign of the East German State Security (Stasi), this area was literally left blank on a map of East Berlin. The Operative Technical Sector (OTS) manufactured bugging systems, hidden cameras and created false passports.
