Being watchful, while contractors working with 7th Army Training Command in Smardan, Romania moving 10,000 cubic meters of earth for the installation of the Theissen Mover Armor Target (MAT) system April 4, 2017 in a live fire Romanian range, proved to be helpful. This unexploded ordnance was found and a Romanian Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called in. The work on the installation of the targeting system being installed was briefly halted while EOD responded.
