To prevent the odor from escaping, theinside of the lid was filled with a scrap of paper whichmade a perfect seal. Upon this paper the writernoticed a stain. Then carefully removing the paperhe was rejoiced to find upon it these words in a plainhand, Christopher Sower, Printer, Germantown, is absolute proof. The owner, Christopher Sower, had placed that pa-per in his box little dreaming that in doing so hewould vindicate his professional life from the asper- ?<..
