University Hall was erected in 1814. The outer walls arecomposed of Chelmsford granite. This edifice contains thechapel, lecture rooms, &c. Its dimensions are, length 140feet, width 50 feet, height 42 feet. Harvai-d Hall is a large brick building erected in 1766,108 feet long, 40 feet wide, and 38 feet in height. It waserected at the expense of the State, to replace a building ofthe same name, which was burned in the winter of 1764-5,wliile occupied by the General Court, which had removed PLAN OF THE COLLEGE GROUNDS AND VICINITY,.
