AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR
The automated defibrillator enables the cardiopulmonary resuscitation during an infarction. Its simplicity of use and its automatization (analysis of the heart beat, delivery of an electric shock) enabling it to be used by anyone not being a doctor. In certain countries (notably United States and England), automated defibrillator have been placed in public places (supermarkets, airports, companies). In France, local initiatives have also been undertaken (such as in Issy-les-Moulineaux), with the installation of defibrillators in public places and training of the general public.
