Chokenji Temple Pond Garden - though the garden and its teahouse have fallen in disrepair, and is not well maintained it remains one of the most pleasant Japanese gardens in Matsuyama, which has very few. Sadly, Chokeni is better known as the temple with an infamous monk, Yoshinori Kurumi, who killed a prostitute for rendering "poor service" to him.
