Oneach of the screws, just above the chamberfloor, is a worm gear, engaging with a wormon a shaft near the floor, parallel with thepit. The end of the parallel shaft on eachside of the pit, mesh with bevel gears onthe end of a cross shaft in the pit at thetransfer table end. This shaft is an old12A (30 ) motor.
