Marine Aquaculture Kelong off the sheltered waters of Lazurus and St. John's Island, Singapore
A kelong (aquaculture site) at Singapore's southern island. Singapore depends on international trade for almost all of its resources including food like seafood. In order to maintain a level of self sufficiency as a matter of national defense policy, the Singapore government provides licenses and grants to businesses to operate similar aquamarine facilities around Singapore's water.
