HE third annual convention of the Master T Steam Boiler Makers Association was heldin Congress Hall, on the grounds of theLouisiana Purchase Exposition, St. Louis,Mo., September 6th to 9th inclusive. Theconvention was called to order by Presi-dent T. C. Best, at oclock in the morn-ing. During the opening exercises a letterwas read from Mr. D. R. Francis, presidentof the Worlds Fair, in which he expressed his regretat being unable to address the association and ex-tended his best wishes for a successful meeting. Theassociation was addressed by Mr. C. P. Patrick ofPeoria, 111. presidents bis address President Best spoke of the indebted-ness of one to the other in the world, and in this rela-tion to the Master Boiler Makers he pointed out thattheir fluty lay in raising the standing of their craft byassisting each other and not by endeavoring to getahead of ones neighbors.
