Thriplow, UK, 17 Mar 2018. For the first time in its proud 50 year history, the Thriplow Daffodil Weekend has been hit by snow. Over Half a million daffodils throughout the village attract over ten thousand visitors to this small Cambridgeshire village each year. They celebrate their 50th Anniversary with this year's event, but the sudden arrival of overnight snow and sub zero temperatures has affected the usual stunning display of the traditional spring flowers. They celebrate their 50th Anniversary with this year's event, but the sudden arrival of overnight snow and sub zero temperatures has affected the usual stunning display of the traditional spring flowers. Over 80 different varieties of daffodils are displayed along with craft barns, food stalls, Morris dancing, steam engines, dog show, re-enactment group and other elements of a traditional country fair.
