Cancer research. Cancer-causing chemical with cell cultures. Methyl methane sulphonate (MMS) is used to induce cancer in cell cultures so that the effects on the cells can be studied. Photographed in the Health and Pollutants Laboratory of the INRS (the French National Institute of Research and Safety), Nancy, France.
