Prof. Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern a Jewish historian inspects the headstone of the mother of Shmuel Yosef Agnon a Jewish Nobel Prize laureate writer who was one of the central figures of modern Hebrew fiction at the Jewish cemetery which sprawls on a hill above the town of Buchach which was once home to a large Jewish community and was annihilated, brutally, by the Germans during the Second World War in Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine.
