Pompeii casts caused when the pyroplastîc flow from the volcano of Mount Vesuvius, enveloped Pompeii in 70 AD. The inhabitants were buried. Ash solidified around their bodies. These casts reveal the positions people and animals took as they tried to protect themselves.
