Film about human ancestors. Split-screen display of the stages of creating a computer-generated image (CGI) showing an early hominid and her baby. The mother is eating food, and the baby is breast- feeding. This image was created for the French film-documentary A Species Odyssey (2003). This film, directed by Jacques Malaterre, used models and CGI to trace the story of human evolution over millions of years. The species featured in the film included Orrorin tugenensis, Australopithecus afarensis and Australopithecus anamensis. The hominid is the CGI part of the shot and has been composited against a background of African savannah grasses. See also E437/080-081.
