Samuel McGredy & Sons of Portadown, Ireland, the originators of many of the prominent, popular varieties grown in our gardens at this time. Marion Cran. Messrs. McGredy say of this novelty which is now offered for the first time, "The color combination is the most wonderful we have yet seen in any Rose. In the young stage, before the flowers expand the color is deep buttercup-yellow, margined and flushed cerise and rosy scarlet. As the flower opens, the outside of the petals retain their color, while the inner side opens a brilliant geranium scarlet, flushed and , . veined orange and yellow; as the flowers age, the color changes toadeepceriseorbright rosy scarlet, flushed buttercup-yellow. The whole flower glows, and has a wonderful sheen and when / fully open, the color combination is delightful. The habit is bushy, free, and upright, making a magnificent bush; one of the freest and most perpetual flowering garden and bedding Roses. Awarded Certificate of Merit by the National Rose Society of ; $ each. Mrs. R. B. Moloney. Pure brilliant crimson-carmine with- out any variation, wonderfully brilliant and glowing. The flowers are large, of perfect form, with reflexed petals of fine substance and sweet scented. $ each. Mrs. W. E. Nickerson. An extremely vigorous growing very free-flowering Rose of the duatone Pernetiana type. The splendidly-formed buds are of an entrancing new color, the exterior of the petals heavily veined with rose d'or and shaded orange-cadmium, the interior a deep chrome-yellow on the lower half vein out and pass to a warm rich rosy-salmon.
