New Kinord Iron Age settlement of stone-walled houses, stock enclosures, a field system & droveways, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK. Looking SW with the wall of sunken-floored House A front R with Enclosure D centre. The walls of the house & enclosure are touching (contiguous); the house has a diameter of 19m, the enclosure is across. The settlement lies within the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve. The site was recorded & planned by Sir Alexander Ogston, somtime physician to Queen Victoria, in 1911.
