Facade of the Cubist Adria Palace by Pavel Janak and Josef Zasche Prague Czech Republic eastern Europe

The Adria Palace was built between 1922 and 1925 and was designed by architect Pavel Janak in collaboration with Josef Zasche. It was built in a modernist style with a Cubist facade and elements of rondo-cubism, a style unique to Prague. The famous Laterna Magika Theatre was established there in 1959 and the building was one of the centres of the 1989 "velvet revolution".
