Hammarbya paludosa, (syn Malaxis paludosa) Bog Orchids, Adder's mouth orchid


Many orchids have resupinate flowers that rotate through 180 degrees so that the lip is at the top, this curious little plant does it twice! These pictures were taken in August in the New Forest, a stronghold in the south of england (if you know where to look)!
