As before stated, about 25 per cent of the moths had emerged in the field, from cocoons above ground, by April 21. In 1907 Mr. Dudley Moulton records the finding of a few empty pupal skins while collecting wintering material in an open packing shed April 27. This was 25 days after the apple blossoms had fallen, a period of cold weather occupying the interval. From material then collected moths continued to issue in the laboratory until June 1. fjttt^i^iitttpi#Mtiui4|i!|i^^ LI m I mii^.
