J. G. Eggleston has a fine crop of sweet peas that is being held back by cloudy weather. When the weather brightens up he expects to have a good supply of blooms. Boyd's Greenhouse sent seven truck- loads of chrysanthemum plants to the 10-cent store the day before Thanks- giving and sold each plant for 75 cents. They also sold 3,000 blooms. Mrs. Boyd says they will have mums for Christ- mas. T. J. Noll & Co. will have some choice roses for Christmas. J. E. K. PITTSBTJEQH. Club Meeting. The regular meeting of the Pitts- burgh Florists' and Gardeners' Club was held in the basement of the Carne- gie library, north side, Tuesday evening, December 2, and there was a good at- tendance. The Wm. F. Kasting Co., of BuflFalo, N. Y., exhibited a vase of Chrysanthemum Hamburg Late Pink, which was highly commended by all the mum growers present for its lateness, color, form and sturdy habit; from re- marks heard one could gather the fact that this variety will be seen in the houses of our Pittsburgh growers next year. William Malbranc, of Johnstown, Pa., showed a vase of specially good Mrs. Charles Russell roses and some large, well grown Genista canariensis in pots. Roderick Ro
