Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park, near Angel Fire, New Mexico, USA. It It was built by Victor "Doc" Westphall in memory of his son. David, a lieutenant in the 1st marines, who was one of 16 yound men killed in an ambush on 22nd May, 1968. The first part of the memorial, the chapel, designed by Ted Luna, an architect from Santa memorial is set into a hillside and is visible from US 64. As well as the chapel (the first of its kind) there is a museum and a Huey helicopter in the grounds. The whole visit provides a very moving experience.
