Calla Lily (bog arum, marsh calla, wild calla, squaw claw, and water-arum favours bog, marshes, ponds and wet places; it is native temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, in central, eastern and northern Europe, Asia and northern North America. Here it lives in a pot in our garden, no bogs in sight. but also highly toxic when fresh, due to its high oxalic acid content.
