Pâtisserie Stohrer is the oldest patisserie in Paris and was established in 1862. The patisserie's pastel murals were added in 1864 by Paul Baudry, who also decorated the Palais Garnier's Grand Foyer. The Rum Baba was invented here and it is regarded as the best patisserie in the city.
