Grave of French classicist architect Auguste de Montferrand (1786-1858) at Montmartre Cemetery (Cimetière de Montmartre) in Paris, France. The architect who worked primarily in Russia is best known for Saint Isaac's Cathedral and the Alexander Column in Saint Petersburg. The tombstone on his own grave was also designed by Auguste de Montferrand. His mother was also buried here in 1833.
