Steps from the boathouse, Hanley park Stoke on Trent


Hanley Park is one of the city's heritage parks. It is close to both the City Centre and the railway station. Its facilities include: an all weather, floodlit sports zone for cricket, football, basketball, hockey and tennis; bandstand; crown green bowling green; fishing; lake and fountains; sensory play area; children's play zone; public art sculptures. Hanley Park in Stoke on Trent is one of the city's heritage parks. It was opened in 1897 and designed by Thomas Mawson, an influential landscape architect. The steps in the photo lead down to the Lake and Boathouse.
