BUCHENWALD CONCENTRATION CAMP NORTH OF WEIMAR IN FORMER EAST GERMANY THE CAMP WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE MID 1930 S AND WAS USED AT FIRST AS A CAMP FOR POLITICAL PRISONERS BUT LATER AS A MEDICAL EXPERIMENTAL AND EXTERMINATION CAMP WHERE 100 S OF THOUSANDS OF JEWS POLES GYPSIES UKRANIANS AND PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER OCCUPIED EUROPE INCLUDING DOWNED BRITISH AIRMEN WERE PUT TO DEATH BY MEDICAL EXPERIMENT STARVATION GASSING OR BY FIRING SQUAD AND THEIR BODIES BURNT IN THE CAMP CREMATORIUM
