Anyone desiring to join the party will please call or telephone A. M. Herr or Kudolph Nagel for information. On Saturday, March 13, at 12:15 p. m., leaving Center Square, a visiting trip will be made to Christiana and other points along the Philadelphia pike. Saturday was chosen owing to the con- venience of the half hour cars on that day. H. K. R. BUFFALO. The Market. The weather was fine last week and business good. There has been consid- erable funeral work, and flowers for social functions sold well. Business St. Valentine's day was good with all the florists. Roses are more plentiful this week and the quality is good. Carna- tions are excellent. Violet sales are in order now, since we have had a week or more of mild, sunny weather, which brings on violets in great numbers. Sweet peas are more plentiful and the orchid varieties bring a fair price. Bulbous flowers, such as daffodils, nar- cissi, freesias, hyacinths, etc., are al- most a drug on the market and are sold at a low figure. Various Notes. W. J. Palmer & Son had an interest- ing window last week. A Japanese pond with pink roses, white lilacs and freesias formed the center, and porce- lain birds were scattered about near the pond. Baskets of spring flowers were set about at different angles, and live butterflies added life to the window.
