Orchis Bank Downe. Bromley, Kent, England, UK.

Downe Bank or as Charles Darwin preferred Orchis Bank is where his observations of orchids and their pollinators gave him evidence of co-evolution and led to the publication of his famous book Fertilization of Orchids in 1862. And no doubt inspired Darwin’s conclusion of On the Origin of Species.
