The Mig-17 showcases its speed and maneuverability for the crowd during the 2017 Joint Base San Antonio Air Show and Open House Nov. 4, 2017 at JBSA-Lackland Kelly Field at Port San Antonio. Air shows allow the military and civilian demonstration teams to display their capabilities through aerial demonstrations and static displays. The air show gives attendees an opportunity to get up close and personal to see some of the equipment and aircraft used by the military today.
