Toque macaque (Macaca sinica) troop sitting in a tree. This species of macaque is endemic to Sri Lanka where it lives in troops of around 20 individuals. Males can weigh up to kilograms and have a combined body and tail length of over 110 centimetres long. They inhabit areas near rivers, streams and lakes and feed on fruits, flowers and insects.
